The one of these that I remember was the one owned by Andrew Jarmans aka Dino Boy from YouTube. I'm sure some of us still remember it in the videos he shot on YouTube of that fan. BTW, I think Kiry also still owns one of these.

Does anyone know if the blue blade one was made before, after, or at the same time as the 7-blade model?

I am fairly certain that the 7 blade turquoise colored blade was made before the darker royal blue bladed rain guard fan... the reason in my logic is because I started dating my wife in 1998, and we had one of those 7 winged ones that we got from wal mart that summer... and later like in 2000 or 2001 they built a home depot here where we live and they carried those blue bladed rain guard ones then.

hope that helps on the timeline a little...
    God Bless!

the 7 winged model was made before these box fans began production. the model number of the 5-blue blade box fans with thermostats are 225

The blue 5 bladed model came right after the 7 bladed model.

I decided to open up and use one of my new Rain Guard Lakewoods
I love it, I am going to buy a few more, replace all my newer Lasko models and galaxy's and just have all Newer Lakewoods I think, even if they are braced bladers...They have the last model one with the switch in back on sale at Ace Harware for $9.99, the Rain Guards are only $15.99

I am going to stock up on them I think, when they are gone, they are gone....I will buy enough of them to last me the rest of my life I think lol....
